HC Deb 22 June 1917 vol 94 c2117
7. Mr. WATT

asked the Secretary for Scotland how soon the actual demand for the ploughing of grass land will be made upon the farmers of the country so as to justify their application for the actual amount of labour, manure, and equipment which has been promised to them?

The SECRETARY for SCOTLAND (Mr. Munro)

The Agricultural Executive Committee in Scotland have been informed by the Board of Agriculture for Scotland as to the area in each county which must be broken up from grass land. A survey to ascertain the quota of each farm is now in progress. It will be completed shortly and communicated to the farmers.
