HC Deb 21 June 1917 vol 94 cc1945-6
27. Sir EDWARD PARROTT

asked the Secretary for Scotland if he will state the number of school boards which have not taken advantage of the Department's minute on war bonuses to teachers and also the number of school boards which have only taken partial advantage of the minute?

The SECRETARY for SCOTLAND (Mr. Munro)

Seven hundred and seventy-one school boards in Scotland have decided to pay war bonuses to teachers during the current year. Of the remaining 176 boards a considerable number have the matter still under consideration. I regret that there is no information in my possession or readily obtainable which would enable me to give an accurate answer to the latter part of the question.
