asked the Secretary to the Local Government Board how much cheese and bacon was condemned as unfit for human food by the health officer in the borough of Bermondsey from 1st May, 1916, to 15th June, 1916, and from 1st May, 1917, to 15th June, 1917?

In the first period a little under 25 cwts. of bacon and 14 cwta. and 16 lbs. of cheese were condemned. In the second period 17½ cwts. of bacon were condemned, but no cheese.
