HC Deb 20 June 1917 vol 94 c1787
48. Mr. ALLEN BAKER

asked the Prime Minister if he is aware that there is a demand on the part of dwellers in blocks of industrial dwellings in Central and East London for an efficient system to give official warning in case of raids by enemy aircraft which would enable the tenants living in the upper floors and children playing in the courts or streets to seek refuge of the lower floors where they would be in comparative safety; and will the Government consider the advisability of immediately establishing such a system?

Mr. MACPHERSON

As I stated to my hon. Friend yesterday, I am having the matter considered.
