HC Deb 20 June 1917 vol 94 cc1798-9
86. Mr. WATT

asked the Lord Advocate whether in any appointment of a senator to the College of Justice in Scotland that may be made in the near future it will be a condition attached to the appointment that no directorship, ordinary or extraordinary, in any trading or business concern be held by the man to be recommended by him, so that the dissatisfaction that exists on this point among the trading community who are litigants may be allayed?

Mr. MUNRO

In considering any such appointment the points referred to by my hon. and learned Friend will not be overlooked.
