HC Deb 18 June 1917 vol 94 cc1405-6
14. Mr. LYNCH

asked whether there is any censorship on communications between this country and Russia at present?

The UNDER-SECRETARY of STATE for WAR (Mr. Macpherson)

The censorship of communications between this country and Russia does not differ from that of communications between this country and the other Allied countries. The details of this censorship it would not be in the public interest to disclose.

Mr. LYNCH

Will the hon. Gentleman reply categorically to my question? Does the censorship exist?

Mr. MACPHERSON

It does exist.

Mr. PRINGLE

Is it carried on on the principles on which the "Nation" was-suppressed?
