HC Deb 07 June 1917 vol 94 c314
28. Sir HERBERT ROBERTS

asked the First Commissioner of Works whether, in view of the representations made as to the proposed closing of the Victoria and Albert Museum by the transfer of the Board of Education to these buildings, the Government will reconsider their decision in this matter?

The FIRST COMMISSIONER of WORKS (Sir Alfred Mond)

It is regretted that it is not possible to have this decision reconsidered, but I have every reason to believe that a substantial portion of the Victoria and Albert Museum will still be available for use by the general public.
