HC Deb 13 July 1917 vol 95 cc2283-4
17. Mr. BYRNE

asked the Chief Secretary for Ireland the Government's proposals to safeguard a regular supply of coal at reasonable prices for the coming winter?

Mr. ROBERTS

My right hon. Friend has asked me to reply to this question. As regards the question of supplies, I would refer the hon. Member to the reply which I gave on Wednesday last to a question asked by the hon. Member for Derry North. Proposals for controlling more closely retail prices of coal throughout the United Kingdom are at present being considered by the Controller of Coal Mines.
