HC Deb 06 July 1917 vol 95 c1479
17. Mr. KING

asked the Under-Secretary of State for War whether Lord Hardinge's correspondence is subject to the censorship of mails?

Mr. MACPHERSON

I would refer my hon. Friend to the rule stated in the answer given on the 3rd instant to the hon. Member for Clare (West). Letters which to the knowledge of the Censor have been dispatched by, or will be delivered to, the Permanent Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs are not subject to censorship.
