HC Deb 04 July 1917 vol 95 cc1092-3
83. Major HUNT

asked the Undersecretary of State for War whether, in view of the fact that the silver badge is given to officers who have only served in this country if invalided out of the Army for injuries received during service at home, he can see his way to having the regulations so altered that officers who have served abroad with the fighting forces shall be allowed the silver badge when, on account of no appointment being available for them at home, they are invalided out of the Army because no longer fit for foreign service?

Mr. MACPHERSON

I would refer my hon. and gallant Friend to the answer I gave the hon. and gallant Member for Gloucester on the 2nd instant. The whole matter is being reconsidered, and an Army Order will shortly be published.
