HC Deb 04 July 1917 vol 95 cc1097-8
49. Mr. LYNCH

asked the Prime Minister whether any opportunity will be given before the end of the Session for debating the policy of the Government in regard to the Balkans, and particularly the objects sought to be obtained by the Salonika Expedition?

Mr. BONAR LAW

I cannot promise any special facilities for this discussion.

Mr. LYNCH

Is it not much better to have light thrown on these subjects before catastrophe arises than afterwards?

65. Mr. PALMER

asked the Prime Minister whether he will consider the desirability of making more frequent periodical statements as to the conduct and progress of the expeditions in Salonika, Palestine and Mesopotamia; and whether he is able now to make any statement regarding the present position in Palestine?

Mr. BONAR LAW

Information is given to the House with regard to these operations to the fullest extent which is compatible with the public interest.
