HC Deb 21 February 1917 vol 90 c1327
64. Mr. LUNDON

asked what sum was granted by the Treasury for the purchase of machinery in connection with the production of extra food for England and Scotland, respectively?

The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the BOARD of AGRICULTURE (Sir Richard Winfrey)

An outlay up to £370,000 has been sanctioned for the purchase of machinery in connection with the production of food in England and Wales. For information as regards Scotland the hon. Member has, I think, already been referred to the Secretary for Scotland.
