HC Deb 21 February 1917 vol 90 cc1319-20
83. Mr. LOUGH

asked the Secretary of the Local Government Board whether the Government contemplate making any general withdrawal of exemptions from service in the Army granted by local or Appeal Tribunals without reference to those bodies; and, if so, under what Statute will this action be taken?

The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the LOCAL GOVERNMENT BOARD (Mr. Hayes Fisher)

The whole subject; of exemptions is receiving consideration; but I may say that exemptions granted subject to the provisions of the Military Service Acts cannot be withdrawn otherwise than in accordance with those Acts.
