HC Deb 21 February 1917 vol 90 cc1341-2
16. Mr. OUTHWAITE

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether his attention has been drawn to the fact, in connection with the aim of the Allies to liberate the Czechs, that in Bohemia there are, approximately, 4,250,000 Czechs and 2,500,000 Germans; and can he say how it is proposed to deal with this German minority, who desire to maintain the Imperial connection, as in the case of Ulster?

Sir G. CAVE

It is obviously premature to discuss questions of this nature.

Mr. OUTHWAITE

Will their liberation be followed by the liberation of the Irish people?
