HC Deb 12 February 1917 vol 90 cc275-6
70. Mr. TIMOTHY DAVIES

asked the President of the Board of Education what steps are being taken to carry out the recommendations of the Robertson Committee that local authorities should revise the salaries of persons in public employment whose increments during the War are not being increased in comparison with the general increase of wages which has taken place in regard to other employments?

Mr. FISHER

I understand that arrangements for increasing salaries or granting war bonuses to teachers have been made on are under consideration by a very large number of local education authorities.
