HC Deb 25 April 1917 vol 92 cc2375-6
2. Sir J. D. REES

asked the Secretary of State for India why members of the Bombay Uncovenanted Service Family Pension Fund, which possesses no children's branch, are not allowed to subscribe to the Bengal and Madras funds for children's pensions?

Mr. CECIL BECK (Vice-Chamberlain of the Household)

My right hon. Friend has asked me to answer this question. This prohibition appears to be due to the fact that the rules of the Bengal and Madras Service Family Pension Fund are largely modelled on those of an older Bengal Fund to which officials employed in other Presidencies were not allowed to subscribe. If the hon. Member so desires, I will ask the Government of India for further information.
