§ 58. Mr. PEMBERTON BILLINGasked the Prime Minister whether he has received a copy of a resolution in favour of compulsory National Service passed at a meeting of electors in East Herts, held at Hertford, 23rd March, 1917; and, if so whether he will take steps in accordance with the resolution?
§ Mr. BONAR LAWI understand that the Prime Minister has received the resolution referred to. As regards the second part of the question, I have nothing to add to the answer which I gave to the hon. Member for South Down yesterday.
§ Mr. BILLINGMay I ask whether it is a fact that of the speakers sent out to address these meetings none have had a resolution in favour of voluntary service?
