66. Mr. CHANCELLORasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will state what are the respective numbers of inn servants, including barmen and barmaids, and of inn-keepers; what the average hours of labour were before the War for barmen and barmaids in London and in the provinces, respectively; whether, as a result of the restriction orders now in force in scheduled areas, these hours of labour have been reduced; and, if so, to what extent and in what proportion of the total number of houses?
Mr. SAMUELAs regards the first part of the question, I can only refer the hon. Member to the information given in the 1911 Census tables. I am not aware of any more recent figures. As regards the remainder of the question, I regret that I am not in possession of any statistics.
