asked whether, in view of the value of their services, noncommissioned officers attached to Territorial units and acting as regimental sergeant-majors now ranked for pension as warrant officers, Class II., can be ranked for pension as well as for pay as warrant officers, Class I.?

Mr. FORSTER

Army Order 180 of June last provides that an Acting Sergeant-Major of the Territorial Force shall be regarded as a substantive warrant officer, Class I., for the purpose of any noneffective grant arising out of his service in the appointment during the present War.
