HC Deb 17 October 1916 vol 86 c384
48. Captain WRIGHT

asked the Prime Minister whether it is the intention of the Government to introduce fresh legislation for the maintaining and training of adequate reserves for His Majesty's Forces in the field; and, if so, or if at some future time such legislation in the opinion of the Government becomes necessary, whether the Government will extend to Ireland the same opportunities of service in the field that are provided for the rest of the British Isles?

The PRIME MINISTER

The Government will not come to a decision on this question without careful consideration of all the questions affecting Ireland which are involved in it.
