HC Deb 16 November 1916 vol 87 c943
8. Sir E. CORNWALL

asked what sum of money out of the amounts formerly payable each year by the Greek Treasury to Russia, France, and Great Britain, were given up by the Governments of these three countries on the understanding that such sums should constitute a personal payment to the King of Greece; and whether the amount so provided is still being paid to the King of Greece in addition to the civil list fixed by the law of that State?

Lord R. CECIL

The amount in question was £4,000 by each Power, but, as stated in a reply to the late Sir A. Mark-ham on 23rd November last, the payments ceased with the death of King George of Greece in 1913.
