HC Deb 15 November 1916 vol 87 c803
110. Mr. MacCALLUM SCOTT

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether any investigation has been made into the condition of the roof of the tunnel belonging to the North British Railway Company between Finmeston and High Street Stations, Glasgow; whether any alterations and repairs have been made; and whether he is satisfied that adequate precautions have been taken against danger to the public and to the staff?

Mr. PRETYMAN

The responsibility for the proper maintenance of a tunnel on a railway rests with the company concerned. I am asking the North British Railway Company for their observations on my hon. Friend's question, and I will communicate with him on receipt of their reply.
