§ Mr. BONAR LAWI would refer the hon. Member to the statements which appeared in the Press on the 20th and 28th October. The military situation, as described therein, has not altered materially. An experienced officer selected from the Colonial service will shortly leave this country to estabish a provisional civil administration in those parts of the conquered territory which are no longer the scene of military operations.
