HC Deb 09 May 1916 vol 82 c437
7. Mr. YEO

asked the Under-Secretary of State for War whether a former private in a London regiment who lost his right eye in the battle of Neuve Chapelle, and was discharged on 23rd June with a pension of 12s. 6d. a week, is now serving in an Essex regiment, having been conscripted under the Military Service Act?

The UNDER-SECRETARY of STATE for WAR (Mr. Tennant)

It has been quite impossible to identify this case, and I can therefore not afford the hon. Gentleman an answer to his question.

Mr. YEO

Will the right hon. Gentleman make inquiry?

Mr. TENNANT

Yes, if the hon. Member will give me the necessary particulars to enable me to trace the man.
