HC Deb 04 May 1916 vol 82 c113
50. Captain AMERY

asked the Prime Minister whether, in continuation of the policy adopted at the recent Secret Session of the House of Commons, he would be willing that confidential information with regard to the War Office requirements for men and the progress of recruiting should be regularly communicated to, and considered by, a representative Parliamentary Committee?

The PRIME MINISTER

I see great difficulty in the adoption of any plan which would confine the communications of confidential information to a selected number of Members. I doubt whether such a suggestion would commend itself to the House.
