HC Deb 16 March 1916 vol 80 c2247
34. Mr. RENDALL

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty if any confirmation has been received of the return of the "Moewe" to Germany; and, if so, can he say by what means the prisoners of war taken by her can be communicated with?

Dr. MACNAMARA

The reply to the first part of the question is that an official telegram from the Naval General Staff, Berlin, has been published to the effect that the "Moewe" returned to port on the 5th March. As regards the second part of the question, the General Post Office issue a leaflet showing the arrangements in force for communicating with prisoners of war, and the Prisoners of War Help Committee, 5-7, Southampton Street, Strand, will give information and advice on this and other points if applied to on the subject.
