HC Deb 01 June 1916 vol 82 cc2910-1
95. Mr. KING

asked the Under-Secretary of State for War whether he can give any information about the foreign battalion which is being recruited largely among Russian subjects; how many have offered their services, and how many have been accepted in this connection; how this battalion will be supplied with officers; and whether pay, separation allowances, and pensions will be given on the same scale as to British subjects?

Mr. TENNANT

There is no information about this alleged battalion available in this directorate. So far as is known it has no existence.

Mr. KING

I will call attention to this matter on the Adjournment.
