§ 96. Sir GEORGE REIDasked the Under-Secretary of State for War whether the result of court-martial upon members of His Majesty's Forces is made public in the case of conviction; and, if so, is the result of acquittals also made public?
§ Mr. TENNANTIn a trial of a member of His Majesty's Forces, in which a conviction results, the result is always made public by means of the promulgation of the finding and sentence. Where an acquittal results, the finding is always declared in court at once, and the accused is forthwith released. In both cases, therefore, the result is made public.
