HC Deb 01 June 1916 vol 82 c2899
46. Mr. KING

asked the Prime Minister whether he can promise that at an early date after the Whitsuntide Recess the House will be informed as to the proposals of the Government either for prolonging the life of this Parliament or, alternatively, for holding a General Election; and whether he will consider whether any Government statement of policy on these subjects can be made so as to be capable of discussion in this House?

51. Mr. R. McNEILL

asked the Prime Minister whether he has yet decided to introduce a Registration Bill in time to secure that the Parliamentary Register shall be revised before the legal term of the present Parliament expires in September?

As I have previously stated, the Government have this question under consideration, and will state their conclusions at an early date after the Recess. Opportunity for discussion will, of course, be given.
