HC Deb 31 July 1916 vol 84 c2058
61. Mr. FFRENCH

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he is aware that Joseph M'Carthy, New Ross, now a prisoner in Frongoch, took no part whatever in the Sinn Fein disturbance; and, seeing that he is the only dependence of an aged father and mother in the management of their shop, will he allow this young man to return to his home?

Mr. SAMUEL

M'Carthy's case has been dealt with by the Advisory Committee, who have recommended to me that he should remain interned.
