Broadbent, who is described by the Army as Gunner Broadbent, No. 84,768, Royal Garrison Artillery, was, by a district court-martial held at Portsmouth on 8th June, 1916, sentenced to undergo detention for 112 days; if he is now in the military detention barracks at Gosport; why the Army Order of 25th May last was not obeyed in this case and a sentence of imprisonment and not detention given; and if steps will be taken immediately to correct the decision of this court-martial?
