HC Deb 20 July 1916 vol 84 cc1190-1
75. Commander BELLAIRS

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty what were the circumstances under which three armed trawlers were sunk by large German submarines, and where the fight took place?

Dr. MACNAMARA

It is not in the public interest to give the particulars asked for.

Commander BELLAIRS

With reference to the last part of the question as to where the fight took place, cannot the right hon. Gentleman give an answer to that, seeing that the Germans must know where the fight took place?

Dr. MACNAMARA

I will inquire about that.
