§ 84. Sir P. MAGNUSasked the President of the Board of Trade if he can give the number of children under fourteen years of age who are employed in controlled establishments and by firms engaged in Government contracts; and whether they are subject to any special Regulations?
§ Dr. ADDISONMy right hon. Friend has asked me to reply to this question. I have no information on the point raised in the first part, and I am not aware that the Home Office have made any special Regulations as to the employment of such children as distinct from other young persons. Their employment would, of course, be governed by the Factory Acts in any case.
§ Sir P. MAGNUSAre the Board of Education unable to give the information asked for in the first part of the question?
§ Dr. ADDISONWe are not able to give more precise information on the point.
