§ 77. Sir J. LONSDALEasked the President of the Board of Trade whether, having regard to the decision of the House of Lords in the case of the Daimler Company, Limited, versus the Continental Tyre and Rubber Company (Great Britain), Limited, that registration in Great Britain does not turn a company whose control is mainly in German hands into a British company, and that payments to German companies, whether registered or not, is trading with the 1534 enemy, he will, for the protection of the public, publish a list of all firms under alien enemy control which have not yet been wound up?
Mr. HARCOURTIt does not necessarily follow that all businesses now under supervision are affected by the recent decision of the House of Lords. All the companies likely to be so affected are included amongst those which are being inquired into by the Advisory Committee appointed by the Board of Trade, and I cannot publish the names of firms until the Committee has reported upon them.
