HC Deb 12 January 1916 vol 77 cc1583-4
50. Mr. G. TERRELL

asked the Prime Minister if he can now state the number of men who, since the outbreak of war, have enlisted for the Army in England, Scotland, Ireland, and Wales, and in each of the British Colonies, respectively?

Mr. TENNANT

As regards the Colonies I would refer the hon. Gentleman to the answer given by my right hon. Friend the Colonial Secretary on the 10th January; and as regards Ireland to the figures given by my right hon. Friend the Chief Secretary, also on the 10th January. It is not considered desirable in the public interest to add to the information given in those answers.
