HC Deb 10 January 1916 vol 77 c1263
12. Sir COURTENAY WARNER

asked the Minister of Munitions whether he is aware of the impression among workmen that workmen employed on munitions are entitled to a special war bonus paid by the Government; and if he will say whether such a bonus is in fact being paid?

The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the MINISTRY of MUNITIONS (Dr. Addison)

Several cases have been brought to my right hon. Friend's notice in which workmen have apparently thought themselves entitled to a special bonus from the Government in respect of work on munitions. There is no foundation for such an impression.
