HC Deb 10 January 1916 vol 77 cc1283-4
67. Mr. FELL

asked the Financial Secretary to the War Office if his attention has been called to the delay in the payment of rent of houses and buildings taken over by the War Office in towns on the East Coast; and, seeing that the rent of such houses is in many cases in arrear from June in last year, whether arrangements will be made to pay the rents monthly as they fall due?

Mr. FORSTER

I am not aware of any general delay in the payment of rent, such as my hon. Friend suggests, but if he will furnish me with details of any-specific cases I shall be pleased to have the matter inquired into.
