HC Deb 23 February 1916 vol 80 c694
62. Mr. PERKINS

asked the President of the Board of Trade what steps he has taken, or proposes to take, with a view of carrying out the recommendations of the Sub-Committee of the Advisory Committee to the Board of Trade on commercial intelligence, as indicated by paragraph 54 of their Report, for the purpose of securing the development of the manufacture of magnetos in this country?

Mr. RUNCIMAN

The Board of Trade are in communication on the subject with the other Departments concerned, and I am unable to make any statement at present.

Mr. PERKINS

Will the right hon. Gentleman consider the advisability of publishing the evidence which was given before that Sub-Committee?

Mr. RUNCIMAN

I do not know whether the evidence has ever been set up in type, but I doubt very much whether any good purpose would be served by using both paper and the printer's time in publishing it.
