asked the President of the Board of Trade in what practical way the Government propose to recognise the services rendered to the nation and the sacrifices made by officers and men serving in the mercantile marine?


The valuable and meritorious services rendered by officers and seamen of the mercantile marine have been cordially recognised by the Government. Whether it will be possible to grant any special mark of recognition of such services will be a matter for consideration after the War
