HC Deb 17 February 1916 vol 80 cc248-9
29. Sir COURTENAY WARNER

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether, in view of the success which attended the British Industries Fair last year, he will arrange for similar fairs to be held annually under the auspices of the Board of Trade?

Mr. RUNCIMAN

Preparations for holding a second British Industries Fair are now approaching completion and the Fair will open at the Victoria and Albert Museum on 21st February. In view of the requirements of munitions work the scope of the Fair this year will be carefully restricted so as not to interfere with war work, either as regards materials, plant or labour. It is the present intention of the Board of Trade to hold a British Industries Fair in the early spring of each year.
