asked the Home Secretary whether he is aware of the movement in the United States against the activities of hyphenated Germans; and will he say what safeguards this country has against these people when they come to this country as American citizens and on American passports?

This is one of the many questions connected with the overseas passenger traffic to this country which have engaged the attention of the Government during the War, and have been dealt with by the authorities, acting under the Aliens Restriction Orders and the Defence of the Realm Regulations. It would be contrary to the public interest for me to state in detail the action taken.
