HC Deb 23 September 1915 vol 74 c559
64. Mr. BRYCE

asked whether any and, if any, what facilities for subscribing to or participating in the War Loan have been provided for soldiers on active service?

Mr. FORSTER

Arrangements were made by the War Office early in July to enable soldiers to invest in the War Loan. The procedure is that the soldier makes his application through his Company Officer, who notifies the General Post Office and the Army Paymaster. Simple forms have been provided for the purpose. Similar arrangements have been made for soldiers in hospital at home. Soldiers serving in this country make application at the local post offices. The details are given in a special Army Order of 6th July, of which I will send my hon. Friend a copy.
