19. Mr. ROWLANDS

asked the Under-Secretary of State for War whether there are some soldiers being employed as bricklayers on the extension of the works of Messrs. Vickers, Limited, at Crayford; and, if so, whether he will explain why this is being done, seeing that a number of civilian bricklayers are unemployed at the present time?

Are no soldiers employed there?

No soldiers whatever.
