HC Deb 16 September 1915 vol 74 c163
11. Mr. FELL

asked the number and value of the motor cars imported into this country from the United States of America during the months of June, July and August; and if all the space available in ships has been engaged for the transport of such motor cars for many months to come?

Mr. RUNCIMAN

I will circulate with the Votes a statement showing the imports of motor cars and parts from the United States of America during June, July and August. I have no information as to the second part of the question.—[See Written Answers this date.]

Mr. FELL

Will the right hon. Gentleman find out if it is true that the space was all engaged months ahead?

Mr. RUNCIMAN

I can make inquiry from some of the lines, but I cannot make full inquiry without its involving a great deal more work than would be justified.
