asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies if he is able to make any statement about the British position in East Africa?

Mr. TENNANT

I am afraid I can make no statement on this matter, as there is no information of importance to give. There have been some minor affairs, in which both sides have suffered some loss, but the season is at present unsuitable for extensive operations.
