HC Deb 20 October 1915 vol 74 c1786
42. Lieut-Commander WEDGWOOD

asked the Secretary of State for India whether the possibility of a German advance on Bagdad is receiving the attention of those responsible for the Anglo-Indian Expeditionary Force in Mesopotamia; and whether a sufficient supply of river gun boats is available either to press the advance or cover the retreat?

Mr. CHAMBERLAIN

The contingencies mentioned by the hon. and gallant Member and the provision required to be made against them have received due consideration.
