HC Deb 12 October 1915 vol 74 c1182
23. Sir EDWIN CORNWALL

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether his attention has been called to the scheme of issuing Treasury War Bonds, presented by Mr. Drummond Fraser to the British Association at its recent meeting at Manchester; and whether it is his intention to adopt either in part or wholly in connection with the next War Loan the scheme of popular investment therein suggested?

The CHANCELLOR of the EXCHEQUER (Mr. McKenna)

The answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. As regards the last part I fear I cannot anticipate the terms of any further loan.
