§ The UNDER-SECRETARY of STATE for the COLONIES (Mr. Steel-Maitland)Rumours circulated in New Zealand in regard to trading with the enemy by persons in Tonga have been investigated by the High Commissioner for the Western Pacific, who has informed the Governor of New Zealand that he is satisfied that these rumours are without foundation.
