HC Deb 04 May 1915 vol 71 c952
24. Mr. W. THORNE

asked the Under-Secretary of State for War whether a firm named Perfect and Company, of 2, Bank Buildings, St. John Street, West Smithfield, and of Royal Liver Buildings, Liverpool, have been contractors to the War Office in any shape or form, or have been employed on War Office work, or have held contracts for meat or food supply to Territorial or other military camps?

The FINANCIAL SECRETARY to the WAR OFFICE (Mr. Harold Baker)

Messrs. Perfect and Company are the War Office agents for supervising the discharge, storage, inspection and distribution of frozen meat for the troops. They are not contractors in any sense, and I am informed by them that they neither hold nor have held any contract for the supply of meat, food, or any other article to Territorial or other military camps, or, indeed, to any other person.
