HC Deb 04 May 1915 vol 71 c977
80. Mr. HOGGE

asked the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster whether he has considered the effect of the Registrar for Scotland's decision insisting upon friendly societies paying sickness benefit to wounded members on such societies; whether he has considered the effect on the non-approved sections of friendly societies of this decision in regard to members who are wounded and ill but who are still members of the Army; whether the Emergency Act applies to non-approved sections of friendly societies; and, if so, in what particulars?

The FINANCIAL SECRETARY to the TREASURY (Mr. Acland)

I regret that I cannot trace the decision to which my hon. Friend refers. If he will be good enough to furnish me with the name of the society or branch to which it related, I will make inquiries and send him a full reply.
